I think your problem is probably with md11 (Disk11) If you have a mapped drive or some persistent connection to a public share that automatically connects on reboot, you can be beating your head against windows forever and not make a connection.Ĭan you explain the part of disconnecting all sessions? How to clear it windows? I don't see anything in the name of tower in credential manager. You must disconnect ALL sessions so that a fresh connection with the proper credentials can be made. Windows will not allow multiple connections to the same server with different credentials.
Then when you try to access a more secure share, even though windows pops up a dialog asking for user and password, IT WILL NOT WORK.
If you access a public share first, then windows will provide default windows login credentials and is obviously granted access without prompting. I can do anything with the XP computer, receive or send files to the Win 7 or Win 8. This has been just fine with my Win 7 and XP computer for many years, but when I recently got a Win 8 computer, I started having lots of network problems with the simplest types of file sharing. I want to do simple file sharing like copy, move, delete, rename, replace. I have a Win 7 Pro and a Win 8.1 Pro and an XP computer all on the same wired home network.
